The 2nd Annual, Betty's Bash Paddle Race & Music Festival is set! This 6 mile race around German Island, with categories including kayak, canoe and paddle board will race for top finishers amongst each vessel in mens and women class, as well as over all best time!
The Second Annual, Betty's Bash Paddle Race & Music Festival will take place Saturday, June 25th 2022. The event and concert will be free to attend, including live music as well as food vendors. The Paddle Race, which will take place in the morning, starting at 9 am, will require registration for entry and will cost $30 per person to participate in. This will be a trophied race, with different classes depending on single kayak, tandem kayak and canoe as well as paddle boards. Solo vessels will also be categorized in men and women. Tandem teams can be mixed and will compete as mixed. The race will be fashioned as a start at your own pace race. Participants must register and will be given the opportunity to start anytime between 9am and 11am. All racers must complete the course by 3pm. Trophies will be awarded at the free to attend concert that afternoon. Live music from West King String Band, Chris Ndeti, The Trolls of Amsterdam and The Mason Jars! Food trucks, beer and other vendors will be in the park that afternoon! Riverside Park is always free to visit! We aim to keep it that way with this event!
